H.P. Lovecraft was a pioneer of popular horror literature and had a profound influence on many modern writers, among them Stephen King, Clive Barker and Guillermo Del Toro. Besides his stories and short stories, Lovecraft wrote a great deal of non-fiction and was among the first to fully describe the modern weird fiction phenomena.
August Derleth was a close friend of Lovecraft and was the editor of Lovecraft’s Arkham House publications.
Based on these two authors, H.P. Lovecraft and August Derleth, we have created a Lovecraftian concept for the first time.
In this concept, which is a combination of both authors’ work, we intend to merge the Cthulhu Mythos and the world of dreams.
The dream world of H.P. Lovecraft is this game’s true home, and is the setting of this game.
The game’s hybrid style of story and gameplay are inspired by the early 1960s TV series Lost Of Lost Monsters.
The title also references the Graham Greene novel The Heart Of The Matter, which is about mysterious stolen clocks.
A tower of clocks on the cover illustration is similar to the Church of St. Nicholas in the Shadows Of Horror.
We are well aware that certain elements of this game are too dark for some.
We have therefore set a limit of 600 seconds and assume that players will want to play the game over and over again.
What’s more, we believe that having an end in sight helps the player to enjoy the game.
Thus we have made this game a game with a single unlockable ending.
If the player wants to play this over and over again, there is no reason why they shouldn’t, and we hope that such a hobby will bring happiness to many.
At first glance, it might appear that 600 Seconds ~The Deep Church~ is simply a rehash of the same design.
The settings are different.
Also, we have decided to emphasize the use of dreams as a motif in the design.
There is not a single surface to be found in the world of dreams where the two authors did not address dream motifs.
Being a combination of the Cthulhu Mythos and the world of dreams, we also have a dream atmosphere in the game.
So please hold your comfort level in your hands.
The game has many other elements in addition to the dream atmosphere.
We think this will make the dream atmosphere seem even stronger, and we hope you enjoy the game.

      Arkanoid/Tetris style game play, where the player attempts to place the “Arkanoid/Tetris block” into the Arkanoid/Tetris enemy’s pit to destroy it.
      The Arkanoid blocks are placed on a screen with enemies appearing on top of them. The game ends when a player successfully breaks down the enemies without breaking the blocks. The player advances through the game by breaking more and more enemies at once. There are over 20 different enemies that appear in various combinations. The challenge of the game is to break down a large number of enemies at once.
      The blocks are set up on a grid, and after each row, four squares are removed (i.e., if there are eight rows, 16 squares are removed). Each time a block is placed, it has the possibility of being destroyed, which means that the blocks that follow have a smaller chance of surviving. When the players are ready to place the block, they click on the block, and it then appears on the screen. If it is destroyed, it will be removed from the grid. If it is successful, then it is placed on the grid, and that block becomes the new “potential block.” There are 25 levels (8 rows by 4 columns), and after the final block is placed on the screen, it creates a large pit (between 25 and 50 blocks high) in the center of the screen. The goal of the game is to break down as many of the enemy as possible, and once all the enemies are destroyed, the player advances to the next level.
