Kwika Browsa is a small, easy-to-use web browser with a few tricks up its sleeve.
The browser has a clean, if somewhat childish, interface. It only offers two tabs, each of which has its own URL address. Switch between tabs using the arrow keys or a tab. You can set the homepage by typing a URL, going to Settings and pressing the “Set Homepage” button.
The browser uses some system resources, but not as much as other browsers we have tested, and it did not crash during our tests. The help file is quite brief.
Kwika Browsa can be used to navigate on the Web, for instance to read e-mails or browse the web. To open the address bar, just press the spacebar or the letter A. Clicking the right or left button on the mouse brings up a pop-up menu, which is similar to the one found in Safari.
Other toolbars like bookmarks, favourites, search, settings and toolboxes are unavailable. There is only one URL link in the browser, which can be edited.
To add a new URL, you have to go to Settings and choose “Add URL”. The maximum URL size is unlimited.
Once you have specified a URL, it can be set as a home page. So, when you start the browser, it will open up on the homepage, not on a blank tab. Clicking on the address bar automatically opens the URL.
Go back to the main menu, select “Refresh page” and the new URL will be loaded into the browser. The refresh button is also the one that opens the browser to a new tab.
