Chandramukhi Tamil Movie Free Download
This is a Tamil-language horror movie starring Prakash Raj and Rekha. The film is set in an affluent English boarding school and was released in 2005. Chandramukhi is the story of an English girl, Rachel, who transfers to the school in a wheelchair after an accident. Her family does not trust her any more, so she is suspicious of the school and its secretive and sinister staff. Meanwhile, she discovers that an old legend is being brought to life and she is chosen to enact the role of a witch. She rejects her mother’s choice of a nurse for her, preferring the killer character of Chandramukhi. The film is loosely based on Salem witch trials. The film had a successful release. The film was the first in the Tamil film industry to be shot entirely on location. It was also the first time the then Kerala State Film Award for Best Film was given to a Kannada film.
Plot
In the English boarding school, in the early 1930s, Rachel is a new girl sent by her parents to a prestigious English boarding school. She is totally shocked to learn that she is not the first to receive such an invitation. In reality, her parents have sent her to a girls only boarding school so that she would not be exposed to the dangers of men. She is thoroughly furious and calls it a humiliation to be in a girls’ school. Though she is only sixteen years old, she is not a naive girl, knowing fully that the people who work at the school are in fact bad people who live by a different set of rules. Her mother, a doctor, had introduced her to one of the girls who attended the school and had helped her to get a place. She is the same girl Rachel is sent to school to, but she sees nothing wrong with having a friendship with Rachel and invites her home for tea. The girl is now an adolescent who is very interested in her new friend. The two become friends and, on the surface, the girl becomes friendly towards Rachel. However, all this is a façade, and she is planning to get hold of Rachel, and entrust Rachel with a great responsibility and send her to England. Meanwhile, the other girl’s own mother is worried because there are too many people at the house and decides to send her daughter away, but the girl promises to come again.
