Three influenza-related deaths have been reported since April. All of them occurred between mid-April and late April.
The new strain of flu, identified as type B, has so far been found only in Oregon.
It was only isolated at the beginning of the year, a little too early for public health officials to know if it will become as severe as the earlier influenza strains that caused about 36,000 deaths during the 2012-2013 season.
“Influenza is one of the few diseases that’s preventable, even with a vaccine that’s not always 100 percent effective. So, as with any vaccine, it’s good to make sure you get it,” said Oregon health officer Liane Schaltegger.
Since it’s only been seen so far in Oregon, people can be more concerned about the non-seasonal flu — which can be mistaken for the new one because it spreads the same way, and usually lasts a week or so longer.
“This is seasonal flu or non-seasonal flu. It’s hard to distinguish the difference because they’re both spread from person to person,” Schaltegger said. “Flu is not limited to the winter months. It can happen any time of year. But there are more severe flu outbreaks in winter.”
Flu symptoms can include fever, cough, sore throat and body aches. It can also cause more serious complications, such as pneumonia.
If a person does develop symptoms, the best treatment is to stay home and rest. There’s currently no cure for influenza.
“It’s important to get treatment as quickly as possible because the flu can be very dangerous for people with chronic health conditions and even healthy people if not treated early,” Schaltegger said.

■ What are the content items that players can obtain from the in-game shop?
As of the release of the game, the following items will be available:
1. Weapons
Character selection can be changed by the character’s strengths, such as increasing strength, dexterity, intelligence, or agility. Each weapon has a different attack style. You can change the weapon you are wielding in an area in the Weapons and Armors menu.

4. Potion
When you use potions, the effects will take a little while to change. This item lets you equip temporary effects in other equipment, such as increasing your Stamina temporarily.
5. Grease Oil
If you throw the grease oil, the effect will be instant, and the fluid will slowly shrink. This increases your character’s movement speed.
6. Renown items
5 types of items, including accessories, have the chance to be obtained as Renown items. They will be obtained by utilizing the system of the Prestige Summon to honor the results of your play.
7. Special items
Many special items exist. For example, there are items that change the character’s skin color, or items that have a function such as an npc battle scene or a special effect when you leave a room.
8. Pawn items
The same items appear in all the parts of the Lands Between. These are items that you can use in areas other than the Dungeons.
■ What kind of game content will appear in the game?
There are two types of game content available in the game: the game story and the game content items available to the player. Some of the items that you find as game content will make you aware of the events in the game story. The amount of game content that you can obtain per play can be displayed in the Game Settings menu, so please be careful not to approach the saturation point.

You can organize a tournament in the Tournaments menu, where you can invite your friends and duel other people. In addition to the completion of the tournament, there will be some strong items that you can obtain.
